Traffic in Kyiv will be rerouted on April 5 due to the half marathon
On Sunday, April 5, the capital will host a major sporting event—the “Work.ua Kyiv Half Marathon of Resilience 2026” charity run.
Due to the race, significant traffic restrictions will be implemented in the city, and public transportation routes will be temporarily altered.
According to the Kyiv City State Administration’s Department of Transport Infrastructure, the changes will be in effect from the start of service until approximately 1:30 p.m.
The municipal enterprise “Kyivpastrans” has already developed temporary route maps for the main trolleybus and bus routes.
Specifically, trolleybus No. 29 will run from Darnytska Square to Myroslavska Street following the route of No. 50-K.
At the same time, trolleybus No. 30 will change its terminal stop and will run only from Kadetsky Hai Street to the “Pochaina” metro station.
Route No. 31 will be divided into two sections: from Miloslavska Street to the “Darnitsa” metro station and from “Lukyanivska” to “Pochaina.”
Trolleybuses No. 34, 44, and 47 will also have their routes shortened—they will run from Pivnichna Street only to Oleksandra Arkhypenka Street.
For the convenience of passengers in Obolon and Troieshchyna, a temporary bus route No. 30-K will be organized.
It will connect Miloslavska Street with the “Pochaina” metro station, traveling via Pivnichnyi Bridge, Stepan Bandera Avenue, and Bohatyrska Street.
The changes will also affect popular bus routes, including No. 73, as well as private carriers.
Route taxis No. 180, 476, and 485 will bypass the closed sections via Volodymyr Ivasyuk Avenue and Stepan Bandera Avenue.

A symbolic sign marking the anniversary of the liberation of the Kyiv region was also installed in the center of the capital.
