A transformer exploded on the left bank of the Dnieper in Kyiv, causing power outages

A transformer exploded on the left bank of the capital, triggering a fire.

This is according to local media reports.

According to their reports, power outages have already been reported in parts of the city, and power surges are also possible.

Residents are urged to unplug electrical appliances to avoid damage to their equipment.

There is currently no official information regarding the causes of the incident or the extent of the outages.

As a reminder, on the night of April 13, 2026, Russian occupation forces carried out a targeted attack on the energy infrastructure of the Chernihiv region. 

The Sumy region once again came under attack by Russian occupiers, who used unmanned aerial vehicles to strike civilian infrastructure.
