In Kyiv, a developer with ties to Russia may demolish the historic buildings of the First Water Main
The company “Etrex,” which is linked to Russian-born entrepreneur Dmitry Buryak, is accused of planning to demolish the historic buildings of the First Kyiv Water Supply Complex at 4–6 Volodymyrsky Uzviz. They plan to build a retail, entertainment, and office complex in their place.
According to activist Dmytro Perov, in 2023 the Kyiv City Council denied the entrepreneurs a lease renewal for one of the plots on the banks of the Dnipro River. At the same time, the historic water supply buildings were never added to the list of Kyiv’s cultural monuments.
As a result, the developer was able to appeal the decision in the Kyiv Economic Court. The plot in question has cadastral number 8000000000:82:005:0022 and is located within the “Historical Landscape of the Kyiv Hills and the Dnipro River Valley” heritage site.
Now the prosecutor’s office is trying to change the situation. On September 15, the Northern Commercial Court of Appeals will hear the case, during which the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office plans to seek a ruling preventing development of this territory.
The hearing is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. at 1a Sholudenko Street, Courtroom No. 16. The presiding judge is O. V. Yatsenko.

On September 10, in the Svyatoshynsky District of Kyiv, a drone crashed in an open area in the woods near a shopping center. According to preliminary reports, there was no fire and no injuries.
In the Solomyanskyi district of Kyiv, an enemy drone struck the roof of a four-story business center. Emergency services were dispatched to the scene to investigate the circumstances and address the aftermath of the incident.
