Kyiv has changed the metro's operating procedures during air threats
Kyiv has established procedures for transporting passengers on open sections of the metro during yellow and red threat levels. The changes primarily affect the green line, while the red line will continue to operate on a limited basis.
During a yellow alert, the Syrets-Pecherska Line will operate without restrictions. Trains will run across the South Bridge, transporting passengers between the right and left banks of the capital.
If a red alert is declared, the green line will operate on two separate sections—between the “Syrets” and “Vydubychi” stations, as well as between “Slavutych” and “Chervonyi Khutir.”
The Sviatoshyn-Brovary Line, or the red line, will continue to operate on a limited basis. Passengers will be transported via the underground section from the “Akademmistechko” station to the “Arsenalna” station.
Surface public transportation will operate without restrictions. In addition, the city has already launched an additional bus route that duplicates the Red Line of the metro. It runs continuously from the “Palats Sportu” metro station via “Arsenalna” to the “Lisova” station, Vitali Klitschko reported.
As a reminder, the curfew in Kyiv was shortened as early as September 10.
At the same time, the curfew in the Kharkiv region will not be changed for now.
Traffic will be blocked for two days in Kyiv in areas where restrictions are in place.
