An explosion occurred in a residential building in the Pechersk district of the capital, causing heavy smoke.
Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances and assessing the extent of the damage in the residential complex.
According to preliminary reports from eyewitnesses, the incident occurred in an apartment at 32 Mykola Mikhnovsky Boulevard. Footage posted online shows thick plumes of light-gray smoke rising from one of the balconies of the high-rise building.
The city’s rescue and emergency services were immediately dispatched to the scene to respond to the emergency.
