VIDEO: In Kyiv, a Mercedes crashed into an underpass at breakneck speed; there are fatalities
A major traffic accident occurred in Kyiv, killing four people and injuring three others.
The accident occurred around 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of Vadym Hetman and Ushynsky Streets near Karavaevy Dachi.
According to preliminary information from law enforcement, the driver of a Mercedes was traveling at high speed, lost control of the vehicle, veered off the roadway, and crashed into the structure of an underground pedestrian crossing.
After losing control, the car ended up in the pedestrian zone, where the fatal accident occurred.
According to preliminary reports, four people were killed in the accident. Three other victims were hospitalized. They are receiving the necessary medical care.
Police investigative teams, patrol officers, and rescue workers are on the scene of the tragedy. Law enforcement officials are determining all the circumstances of the accident, including checking the vehicle’s speed, its technical condition, and other possible causes of the crash.
