Rimma Zyubina described the morning in Kyiv following the nighttime attacks

Ukrainian actress Rimma Zyubina spoke about the realities of life in Kyiv following the nighttime Russian attacks. She described the morning after the shelling and urged Kyiv residents and visitors to the capital to take precautions against the smog.

Rimma Zyubina said that one night she woke up because of the polluted air, which made it difficult to breathe after the attacks. According to the actress, upon waking up, she smelled a strong odor of smoke, and in the morning she saw smog hanging over the city.

“For the first time in my life, I woke up because I couldn’t breathe. The air reeked of smoke. It was dark. Night. Still half-asleep, I went to the windows to close them. The whole apartment was filled with this acrid smell. At 7 a.m., I went out onto the balcony. Smog. Everything was gray. Something was burning somewhere. Something was burning out. It was like I was in a horror movie about the end of the world,” the Kyiv resident shared.

Amid the smoke and smog following the shelling, Rymma Zyubina urged Kyiv residents and visitors to the capital to wear protective masks.

“The moral of this post is simple—Kyiv residents and visitors to the capital! Be sure to wear a smog mask today,” the actress advised.

At the same time, Rymma Zyubina spoke about her own perception of the world’s reaction to the war in Ukraine. The actress compared the situation to the so-called “Sarajevo Safari” in Bosnia, expressing outrage that the tragedy of the Ukrainians, in her opinion, is not receiving enough attention.

Separately, Rimma Zyubina commented on speculations that Vladimir Putin’s death could end the war. She cited the example of Adolf Hitler and stated that the disappearance of a single political leader does not in itself mean the end of the ideology in question.

“And this Armageddon in the capital of a European state will, if anything, only slightly unsettle a microscopic fraction of humanity. And even then, only for a moment. Nobody needs us. It’s like the human safari in Sarajevo, which hardly bothered anyone. When I hear that Putin’s death will put a stop to all this. Hitler has been gone for a long time, yet fascism still exists—and what’s more, it’s gaining momentum,” the artist wrote.

Rimma Zyubina wrote about this on Facebook.
