Singer Roman Scorpion spoke publicly for the first time about his facial paralysis

Ukrainian singer Roman Skorpion spoke for the first time about the health issues that caused part of his face to become paralyzed over a month ago. The singer of the hits “I’ll Kiss You” and “I Fell in Love” said that doctors diagnosed him with Bell’s palsy.

According to the artist, the problem arose after he was driving in a car and directed a stream of cold air from the air conditioner toward his face.

“I had Bell’s palsy. That’s when part of your face stops working completely. I was driving in the car and directed the air conditioning right at my face. I damaged my facial nerve. I woke up and realized that one side of my face wasn’t working. And I had concerts, corporate events—everything was planned, and people had already paid deposits,” said Roman Scorpion.

Bell’s palsy caused a part of his face to stop working. Despite this, the singer still had concerts and corporate events scheduled.

Roman Scorpion said he sought medical help almost immediately. A specialist prescribed therapy for him, and later, friends from Kyiv joined the recovery process.

“I went to see a specialist, and she immediately prescribed therapy for me. Then friends from Kyiv got involved; they started actively working on it—constant facial exercises to activate the muscles. Less than a month had even passed, and that side of my face was barely functioning. I had to restore it, do exercises—I couldn’t even purse my lips,” the singer recalled.

To restore his facial expressions, the artist performed special exercises and regularly worked on his facial muscles.

Roman Scorpion spoke about this in an interview with Slava Dyomin.

As a reminder, Ukrainian singer Volodymyr Dantes was involved in a traffic accident in Kyiv while driving his own 2025 BMW M340i xDrive, valued at over 3.5 million hryvnias. As a result of the collision, none of those involved in the incident were injured, and the artist’s car remained undamaged.

Ukrainian singer and soldier Yurko Yurchenko spoke out strongly against the visit to Kyiv by Russian musician Maxim Pokrovsky, the leader of the band “Nogu Svelo!” The defender also addressed Ukrainians who support the so-called “good Russians.”
