In Pakistan, actor Ahsan Khan published an Instagram message to the creative team behind the project after the final episode of the series Aap Ki Izzat. As Dawn reports, the actor who played Tabish called working on the drama a defining stage of his career that became a new beginning for him.

Khan thanked producers Momina Duraid and Nina Kashif for helping bring this story to television screens. According to the actor, society needs stories that encourage viewers to reflect and engage in self-analysis.

He separately addressed Nina Kashif, calling her a friend and thanking her for trusting him as the lead actor. Khan described director Saife Hasan as a valuable asset not only to the project, but also to everyone who has had the opportunity to work with him.

Khan also expressed gratitude to screenwriter Umera Ahmed. He said that her script gave the story a soul and authenticity.

Message to the cast and crew

Khan devoted the most attention in his message to his co-star Urwa Hocane. According to him, her presence as his scene partner helped him reveal the character of Tabish as fully as possible. The actor called Hocane an exceptionally talented actress, a wonderful person and a close friend.

Khan jokingly thanked Sania Saeed for finally playing his mother on screen rather than a heroine. He also noted the work of other actors, technicians, assistants and everyone working behind the scenes, calling the crew the foundation of the acting performances.

HUM TV will rerun the series Aangan, which also starred Khan, in place of Aap Ki Izzat. This period drama was directed by Mohammed Ehteshamuddin and is based on Khadija Mastur’s 1962 novel. The series also starred Mawra Hocane, Ahad Raza Mir, Sajal Aly and Sonya Hussyn.
