Pakistan releases first track from Coke Studio Nu.WAV platform
In Pakistan, the new music platform Coke Studio Nu.WAV has released its first composition titled Dil. The recording features artists Afusic and Ali Soomro, known for the track Pal Pal, as well as singer Zoha Waseem, who gained viral popularity last year thanks to the song Majboor.
The song and video
The composition is built around the phrase “Jeenay ka maza hai Dil de ke,” translated in the article as “the joy of life is to give away your heart.” At the beginning of the video, Afusic sings about the experience of falling in love, and in one scene he is shown floating in the air. Zoha Waseem's vocals are heard in the second part of the song.
The video was directed by Kamal Khan. It uses retro styling with old televisions and purple neon lighting. This visual style contrasts with the concept of Nu.WAV as a platform that gives artists, producers and creators the opportunity to define their own sound, communities and audience.

As Dawn reports, some X users perceived Nu.WAV as part of Coke Studio, although it is a separate platform with its own sound. Some commenters reacted critically to the debut, so the song has not yet received unambiguous approval among Coke Studio fans.
The debut Nu.WAV release also featured Asim Azhar, Hasan Raheem, Maanu, Sabaat Batin, Shae Gill, Young Stunners, Izz Chughtai and Aaryan SDQ.
