Hearsay premieres in Israel, while Gadot’s The Runner arrives on Prime Video
The psychological crime series Hearsay has begun airing on Hot 3 in Israel, while the action thriller The Runner starring Israeli actress Gal Gadot has become available on Prime Video. The Jerusalem Post reports on the television premieres and streaming releases.
Gal Gadot in The Runner
The Runner was directed by Kevin Macdonald. Gadot plays Maya, a lawyer and single mother from London. While jogging in a park before an important court case, she receives a call and learns that her son Noah has been kidnapped.
Noah, played by Rory Wilmot, has diabetes. An unknown caller tells Maya that he has interfered with the boy’s insulin treatment; through an app on her phone, she sees that her son has fallen into a coma. The kidnapper, voiced by Damian Lewis, demands that Maya get to a hotel within an hour and kill a key witness in a murder case.
The film was written by Mark Gibson. It features two songs by Blondie, including Hanging on the Telephone.

Detective series in Jerusalem
Hearsay airs every Thursday on Hot 3 and is also available on Hot VOD and Next TV. The story unfolds in Jerusalem around police detective Moshe, who is transferred from the juvenile affairs department to a station in the Geula district.
According to the plot, Moshe investigates several cases of child sexual abuse in the ultra-Orthodox neighborhood. The series raises the issue of suspicions about a possible connection between these cases and a Christian pedophile network, as well as the concealment of the cases by rabbinical authorities seeking to handle them independently.
Moshe is played by Oshri Cohen, and the series was created by Nimrod Eldar. The cast also includes Sasson Gabay, Shmil Ben Ari, Aliza Hanovitz and Seymour Daniel.
New season of Life is a Difficult Age
A new season of Hanoch Daum’s comedy series Life is a Difficult Age premiered on Keshet on Tuesday. The first episode tells how the characters of Daum and his wife Efrat, played by Alma Zack, create an app to help wounded Israel Defense Forces service members apply for the payments and benefits to which they are entitled.
