Ukraine has received a new tranche of 3.47 billion euros from the EU
On July 30, the European Union transferred another financial tranche of 3.47 billion euros to Ukraine. The funds will be used to support the country’s defense capabilities and finance priority government needs amid a full-scale war.
The government received 3.47 billion euros under the European Ukraine Support Loan mechanism. The funds have already been transferred to the state budget.
“These funds will be used to strengthen defense and finance priority needs,” said Serhiy Koretskyi.
The Prime Minister also cited the total amount of funding Ukraine is set to receive under this mechanism this year.
In total, 45 billion euros are earmarked for Ukraine in 2026 under the Ukraine Support Loan. As of today, the country has already secured 11.6 billion euros. Of that amount:
- 3.2 billion euros went toward budgetary needs;
- 8.4 billion euros were allocated to defense.

The European Union plans to provide Ukraine with 920 million euros to restore and strengthen its energy infrastructure ahead of the winter season. This was announced by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
As a reminder, Zelenskyy presented Ursula von der Leyen with Ukraine’s first Order of Europe.
