Burberry Unveiled Its Summer 2027 Collection in London — Asharq Al-Awsat

The British fashion house Burberry unveiled its Summer 2027 collection during London Fashion Week in the United Kingdom. The brand’s creative director, Daniel Lee, showcased designs featuring vibrant floral motifs, trench coats, and plaid suits, according to Asharq Al-Awsat.

The show took place at the Chelsea College of Arts in a minimalist, bright-white space. Among the guests were actors Jason Statham and Chiwetel Ejiofor, rappers Skepta and Kano, and London Mayor Sadiq Khan. The audience sat on wooden benches featuring Burberry’s signature pattern.

The women’s collection featured suits with windowpane-check skirts, embellished with mimosa and lavender embroidery. This motif was also repeated on the shoes. Floral motifs were also used on men’s short checkered suits and semi-transparent trench coats in pastel blue and eggplant colors, which were paired with striped dresses.

1970s Street Fashion and Style

The collection combined understated small floral patterns, contrasting stripes, and prints featuring faces. Against a backdrop of gray and beige shades, bright yellow, pink, and green outfits stood out. Skirts adorned with sequins or bright red pom-poms were paired with short, lightweight jackets featuring epaulets.

In his show notes, Li emphasized the comfort of the pieces and the concept of intentional imperfection in clothing—garments that people own and wear in their everyday lives. The men’s looks referenced streetwear with jeans and chains on the pants, while floral shirts added a 1970s vibe. Rapper Central Cee made his Burberry runway debut in low-rise jeans and a hooded jacket.
