Burberry unveils summer 2027 collection in London — Asharq Al-Awsat
British fashion house Burberry unveiled its summer 2027 collection during London Fashion Week in the United Kingdom. The brand’s creative director Daniel Lee presented designs with bright floral motifs, trench coats and checked suits, Asharq Al-Awsat reports.
Flowers, checks and sheer trench coats
The show took place at Chelsea College of Arts in a minimalist bright-white space. Guests included actors Jason Statham and Chiwetel Ejiofor, rappers Skepta and Kano, as well as London Mayor Sadiq Khan. Viewers sat on wooden benches featuring Burberry’s signature pattern.
The women’s part of the collection included skirt suits in windowpane checks, decorated with mimosa and lavender embroidery. This motif was also repeated on shoes. Floral ornaments were also used on men’s short checked suits and semi-sheer trench coats in pastel blue and aubergine shades, paired with striped dresses.

Street fashion and 1970s styling
The collection combined restrained small floral patterns, contrasting stripes and prints depicting faces. Bright yellow, pink and green looks stood out against grey and beige shades. Skirts embellished with sequins or bright-red pom-poms were complemented by short lightweight jackets with epaulettes.
In the show notes, Lee emphasized the comfort of the pieces and the idea of the deliberate imperfection of clothing that is owned and worn in everyday life. The men’s looks referenced street fashion through jeans and chains on trousers, while floral shirts gave them a 1970s style. Rapper Central Cee made his first appearance on the Burberry runway in low-rise jeans and a hooded jacket.
