US-based Ondas to acquire Israel’s GATE for $205 million — Jerusalem Post

US defense technology company Ondas has announced the acquisition of Israel’s GATE Technologies Ltd., which develops and manufactures intelligent fuzes for loitering munitions and drones. The deal also includes GATE’s European partner, Bron Technologies. This was reported by the Jerusalem Post.

The base value of the deal is $205 million. It may increase by another $185 million if the company meets specified targets by the end of 2028. GATE also participates in the Iron Dome missile defense system project.

Fuzes for drones and munitions

Founded in 1996, GATE develops, manufactures and licenses electronic safe arming and firing systems for munitions. Its products are integrated into dozens of weapons systems worldwide, including missiles, rockets, unmanned aerial vehicles and loitering munitions.

These systems are designed to ensure the safety of munitions during storage, transportation and launch. They are activated only after pre-established conditions are met.
