Former Google executive is buying up real estate in Kyiv

Former Google CEO Eric Schmidt and his wife, Wendy Schmidt, have become co-owners of a portion of the commercial real estate portfolio of the investment firm Dragon Capital in Kyiv, including business centers, a shopping mall, and a logistics complex.

The couple each controls a 36% stake in seven companies within the group, which own the Eurasia and Prime business centers in Kyiv, the Piramida shopping and business center, and the East Gate Logistic complex.

The value of this stake is estimated at $55–70 million, and the transaction was executed through a Cypriot holding company that owns the group’s Ukrainian assets. Despite the change in ownership structure, the investment company Dragon Capital will continue to manage these real estate properties. Throughout 2025, the financial revenues of these properties showed growth, specifically the Eurasia Business Center by 24% (to 194 million UAH), the Prime Business Center by 11% (to nearly 95 million UAH), the Piramida shopping and business center by 11% (to nearly UAH 463 million), and East Gate Logistic by more than 10% (to UAH 138.8 million).

Forbes Ukraine reports this.

The investment firm Dragon Capital plans to acquire one of Ukraine’s leading insurance companies—VUSO.
