Nvidia to revive GeForce RTX 3060 amid component shortages
Nvidia plans to resume production of the GeForce RTX 3060 graphics card, an older model that may regain relevance due to severe shortages of components for newer GPUs. This revival is expected to happen around the first quarter of 2026.

The company’s engineers pointed out that the RTX 30xx series uses older memory technology which is not in high demand by data centres, unlike the latest models. Bringing back the RTX 3060 could therefore help alleviate the current shortage of components for modern graphics cards and meet ongoing market demand.
This approach may temporarily support the GPU market, especially for gamers and users seeking affordable, reliable options without waiting for new component supplies.
