The government has finalized the composition of the supervisory boards of Ukrenergo and the GTS Operator
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has completed the restructuring of the supervisory boards of two key energy sector companies—NPC “Ukrenergo” and LLC “Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine.” Experts have been appointed to the supervisory boards, including former Deputy Minister of Energy Yuriy Boiko and Deputy Minister of Economy Yegor Perelygin.
This was reported by the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.
Composition of the NEC “Ukrenergo” Supervisory Board
The system operator’s supervisory board now includes three government representatives:
Yuriy Boiko: An energy expert with 25 years of experience who previously served as Deputy Minister of Energy and possesses deep expertise in power system management.
Mykola Brusenko: An economic policy specialist who previously held positions in the Office of the President of Ukraine.
Yegor Perelygin: Deputy Minister of Economy, specializing in strategic planning and management of industrial facilities.
Representative on the “GTS Operator” Board
Anton Bendyk has been approved as the state representative on the supervisory board of LLC “GTS Operator of Ukraine.” His primary areas of expertise are crisis management and financial management, which are crucial for stabilizing the operation of the gas transmission system amid the war.
The selection of new supervisory board members was carried out by the Nomination Committee under the Ministry of Economy. Representatives of the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Energy, and international observers from the EBRD, IFC, the EU Delegation, and the Business Ombudsman were involved in the process. This approach is intended to ensure the transparency of appointments and the compliance of specialists with international corporate governance standards.
As a reminder, earlier, in late April, the government also renewed the supervisory board of Ukrhydroenergo, which now includes Vitaliy Petruk and Eduard Denisov. The strengthening of supervisory boards is taking place against the backdrop of preparations for the upcoming heating season and efforts to resolve debt issues in the electricity market.
A Canadian expert has been appointed to head the supervisory board of Naftogaz of Ukraine.
Kyivmiskbud is now headed by entrepreneur Dmytro Nikiforov.
