Anthropic's revenue in the second quarter exceeded $11.5 billion — Bloomberg
Anthropic's preliminary revenue for the second quarter of 2026 exceeded $11.5 billion, according to CNBC, citing documents reviewed by Bloomberg News. On a year-over-year basis, the figure increased more than 14-fold: in the corresponding quarter of 2025, the company’s revenue was $787 million.
In the first quarter of 2026, Anthropic reported $4.73 billion in revenue. According to the documents, the company also posted positive adjusted operating income in the second quarter. Bloomberg notes that the financial figures are preliminary and subject to change.
A spokesperson for Anthropic did not provide CNBC with an immediate comment on these figures. The company is developing the Claude chatbot and competes with OpenAI for corporate clients. Its software is used, in particular, by professionals to perform programming tasks.

In May, Anthropic reported that its annual revenue growth rate exceeded $47 billion, while revenue for all of 2025 totaled approximately $10 billion. The company is holding preliminary meetings with potential investors ahead of a possible initial public offering (IPO). According to CNBC, these meetings are of a general nature and do not involve discussions of specific financial metrics or the company’s valuation; they are led by Anthropic’s CFO, Krishna Rao.
Anthropic’s IPO could take place as early as this fall. Going public could provide the company with access to additional capital for investments in computing infrastructure, specialized equipment, and data centers.
