Emirates launches campaign about Dubai’s resilience — The National

Emirates has unveiled a new advertising campaign about Dubai in the UAE that responds to negative headlines and stereotypes about the emirate and encourages passengers to travel to and through it. The one-minute video was shared on social media, The National reports.

Video about Dubai

The video begins with a scene in which a flight attendant reads a fictional newspaper called Daily Made Up. The video says that there are many stories about Dubai, some of them true, and also acknowledges that not everyone likes the city.

It then shows other crew members visiting well-known Dubai locations, including the Museum of the Future and Atlantis the Royal. The campaign’s creators say that Dubai has the ability to recover, become stronger and shine brighter. The video ends with the song Ain't No Mountain High Enough.

According to the publication, the video was actively shared, including on the social network X. In the comments, users responded positively to the advertisement: one called it an example of turning destination marketing into a standalone experience, while others said they wanted to travel to Dubai.

Passenger support

The campaign became another part of Emirates’ efforts aimed at reassuring tourists travelling with the airline. In June, Emirates and national carrier Etihad Airways introduced Comprehensive Travel Cover for international passengers. The programme provides medical insurance for incidents related to conflicts, as well as support with hotel accommodation and extended stays in the event of various disruptions.

Emirates also said it would rebook passengers to their destination at no additional charge if connections with other airlines or the carrier’s flights are unavailable, including because of conflict-related flight cancellations. Separately, the airline announced the introduction of the U-Dream headrest on some aircraft, premium economy seats with an electric privacy screen, and work on first-class bathrooms.
