Czech tennis player Nikola Bartunkova defeated Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka 6:4, 6:3 at the WTA 1000 tournament in Beijing. According to Interia Sport, 26th-seeded Bartunkova advanced to the fourth round of the competition.
Match progression
Sabalenka started the match on serve but immediately lost her game. In the first set, Bartunkova maintained her advantage: in the sixth game, she saved five break points before winning the set 6:4.
In the second set, the Czech player secured a break and took a 3:1 lead. Sabalenka reduced the deficit, but Bartunkova retained a one-break advantage and finished the set 6:3. During the fourth game of the second set, the Belarusian tennis player's racket ended up on the court.

In the fourth round, Bartunkova will play Austrian Sinja Kraus, who defeated Dayana Yastremska 6:1, 6:4 in her match.
