Estonian rowers won gold in the double sculls at the Junior World Championships
Estonian rowers Endrik Hansen and Riko Raymond Kubja won the world title in the men’s double sculls at the World Rowing Under-19 Championships in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, according to ERR News.
In the final, the Estonian crew completed the course in 6 minutes and 18.60 seconds. The British team finished second with a time of 6:19.23, while third place went to a team competing under a neutral flag with a time of 6:19.57.

Behind the medalists in the final heat were the crews from Turkey, Slovenia, and New Zealand. In the semifinals, Hansen and Kubya posted the third-fastest time—6:33.39. They finished less than two seconds behind the Slovenian crew, which won that heat, as well as the British team.
Another Estonian representative, Karl Varik, competed in the single sculls. In his heat, he posted the fourth-fastest time—7:01.22—and did not advance to the final. The rower will continue competing in the B final.
