Fury said he is ready to fight Benavidez instead of Joshua

Former world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has stated that he is ready to face WBA and WBO cruiserweight titleholder David Benavidez at the end of the year, if Anthony Joshua declines to fight him.

According to the British boxer, the likelihood of his fight against Joshua is currently only one percent, and his opponent’s promoters are already looking for a replacement among well-known boxers.

“Just last night, I heard that they’re already looking for a replacement among the big names. For example, David Benavidez. What a fight that would be! It would be incredible. But Benavidez is four or five times a tougher opponent than Joshua. Still, I’d take the fight—I always do. There isn’t a single person on this earth I’d refuse to fight,” said Tyson Fury.

The boxer also expressed confidence that David Benavidez would easily defeat Anthony Joshua and knock him out in about three rounds.
