Second meeting in a month
For India and Sri Lanka, this will be their second head-to-head meeting in September. Earlier this month, the teams played in Dubai as part of the Asia Cup, where the Indian national team secured a convincing victory.
India captain Harmanpreet Kaur previously led the team to the gold medal at the 2022 Asian Games. In Nisshin, the national team will try to win the tournament’s gold again, while Sri Lanka will have an opportunity to avenge its previous defeat.
