Mudryk has been banned for four years for doping

Mykhailo Mudryk, the Ukrainian midfielder for London's Chelsea, has been banned for four years for violating anti-doping rules.

This was reported by British journalist Ben Jacobs.

The decision was made by the Football Association (FA). Such a suspension is typically imposed in cases of proven intentional violation of anti-doping rules.

The player’s side disagreed with the punishment and filed an appeal with the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) on February 26.

The case is currently under review: the parties are submitting written evidence and explanations. The date of the hearing, during which Mudryk will attempt to challenge the decision, will be determined later.

As a reminder, the Ukrainian national soccer team dropped in the updated FIFA rankings, falling from 30th to 32nd place.

The Ukrainian Football Association officially announced the end of its collaboration with national team head coach Serhiy Rebrov. The parties terminated the contract by mutual agreement following the team’s unsuccessful performance in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
