Nigeria’s Sand Eagles beach soccer national team has intensified preparations in Kaduna for a two-leg tie against Ghana’s Black Sharks in the Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. All 20 invited players have arrived at the training camp, Premium Times Nigeria reports.

Matches in Kaduna and Accra

The first match will take place on October 10 in Kaduna, Nigeria. The return match is scheduled for October 17 in Accra, Ghana. The winner of the tie will qualify for the final stage of the Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations, which is scheduled to be held in Senegal from November 7 to 15.

Throughout the week, the team is holding tactical and technical sessions at the sports complex in Murtala Muhammed Square in Kaduna. The training is being led by Christopher Kadiri, as head coach Abdullahi Isa is currently working with Nigeria’s U17 national team, which is preparing for the WAFU-B U17 Championship in Ouagadougou.
