According to Channel NewsAsia, Paris Saint-Germain defeated Marseille 2-1 away from home in a Ligue 1 match in France. The winning goal was scored in the 74th minute by the Parisians' captain, Marquinhos. Marseille suffered their fifth consecutive defeat in all competitions and dropped into the relegation zone.

PSG opened the scoring in the 67th minute when substitute Ferran Torres headed in a cross from Désiré Doué. It was the Spanish forward's seventh goal since joining from Barcelona at the start of the season.
Marseille equalized in the 72nd minute. Angel Gomes received a pass from Amine Gouiri, controlled the ball, moved into the centre and fired from close range. However, two minutes later, Marquinhos sent the ball into the net following a cross from Nuno Mendes after his first touch had been saved by the goalkeeper. It was the defender's third goal of the new Ligue 1 season.
