Tuchel says Bellingham plays better with a bit of rage — Sky Sports News

In the Czech Republic, England head coach Thomas Tuchel said midfielder Jude Bellingham plays better when he has “a bit of rage”. The England team is preparing for an away Nations League match against the Czech Republic on September 29 in Prague, Sky Sports News reports.

Bellingham’s emotions

Bellingham had a bright opening match of the Nations League campaign, in which England lost 2-3 to Spain at Wembley. According to Tuchel, opponents’ attempts to unsettle the footballer help him produce his best game.

The coach said Bellingham becomes stronger in such situations and sometimes seems to seek them out to ignite his competitive fire. Tuchel also commented on the midfielder’s verbal dispute with Marc Cucurella, noting that in matches for the national team Bellingham is fully focused on winning, regardless of relationships off the pitch.

In the match against Spain, Bellingham helped England fight until the final whistle and late in the game forced goalkeeper Unai Simon to make a save. That same week, he was named England’s player of the year for the second consecutive time.

Workload during the training camp

Tuchel would like to field 23-year-old Bellingham in all four matches of the autumn training camp, but stressed that the medical staff will assess the player’s condition. The coach assured that he would not risk the midfielder’s health amid a congested schedule.

England will play four Nations League matches in 11 days. After the meeting with the Czech Republic, the team will play away against Croatia on October 3 and host the Czechs on October 6. Tuchel did not rule out rotation, although his ideal option would be to keep at least six or seven footballers from the previous match in the starting lineup.
