In France, Monaco beat PSG and took the lead in Ligue 1
In Paris, France, Monaco came from behind to defeat Paris Saint-Germain 2-1 and moved into first place in Ligue 1. After three opening matches, the Monegasques have nine points and remain the only team in the competition with a perfect record. Defending French champions PSG have yet to win in the new season.
As Channel NewsAsia reports, before the start of the match, the Parisians announced the extension of head coach Luis Enrique's contract until 2030. Lucas Beraldo, Senny Mayulu, João Neves, Willian Pacho and Fabián Ruiz also signed new deals.
Monaco's comeback victory
PSG opened the scoring in the 31st minute when Marquinhos converted Khvicha Kvaratskhelia's pass across the goal. The referees reviewed the incident using VAR to check whether the Brazilian had handled the ball, but the goal was awarded. It was Marquinhos' second goal in two matches after scoring against Lille in a 2-2 draw.

Monaco equalized in the 58th minute. Nazinho headed in from close range after a pass from Jordan Teze — it was the visitors' first shot on target. In the 72nd minute, Stanis Idumbo secured the victory for the team with a powerful strike from a tight angle after creating a shooting opportunity for himself on the left side of the penalty area.
Lyon's victory over Auxerre
