Usyk has made it into the top 50 most influential people in world boxing
Former undisputed world heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk has made it onto a prestigious ranking of the most influential figures in modern boxing. The Ukrainian has been named among the 50 key figures in the boxing industry.
Where did Usyk rank?
The Ukrainian boxer took 18th place in the annual The Boxing News Power List.
The list includes not only active and former boxers. The ranking also features promoters, officials, organization executives, and other influential figures in the professional boxing industry.
Interestingly, Usyk ranked below two of his former opponents. Tyson Fury took 14th place, and Anthony Joshua took 15th. Thus, both British boxers outranked the Ukrainian in the influence rankings.
Who Topped the Rankings
As expected, the top spots in the ranking went to the leading officials and investors in world boxing. Saudi figure Turki Al-Sheikh topped the list. Renowned promoter Frank Warren took second place, while Matchroom Boxing CEO Eddie Hearn came in third.
For Usyk, this isn’t the first major recognition of his influence in 2026. In June, the Ukrainian made the prestigious TIME100 Most Influential People in Sports list, which is compiled annually by the American magazine TIME.
This was reported with reference to the BN50 ranking.
Usyk is back in the gym and preparing for the next stage of his career.
Oleksandr Usyk has earned hundreds of millions of dollars over the course of his career, with the bulk of that coming from his most recent fights.
