Apple is developing a screenless fitness tracker modeled on Whoop — The Verge
Apple is working on a screenless fitness tracker that will resemble Whoop devices in form factor. The gadget prototype has a thin fabric band and a computing module with sensors, The Verge reports, citing Bloomberg.
Device at an early stage
According to Bloomberg, the development is at an early stage. If Apple decides to bring the device to market, it is unlikely to appear before 2028.
Whoop trackers are designed for continuous wear. The company sells models in the 5.0 lineup, as well as the MG version, which it describes as medical-grade. It has a built-in ECG function. The claimed battery life of these bands exceeds 14 days.

Health monitoring features
Bloomberg notes that Apple has already added a number of features previously offered by Whoop devices to the Apple Watch Series 12, including continuous heart rate tracking.
The Health app has also gained a training readiness metric. Similar assessments are used by Fitbit, Oura, and Whoop: they are intended to determine how ready a person is for physical activity based on several factors. The app also estimates the user's biological age.
