Automattic has introduced the Mesh app for Android
Automattic, the parent company of WordPress.com, has unveiled the Android version of Mesh—an app for managing personal and professional contacts. The service allows users to privately visualize their network of contacts, add notes to contact details, and set reminders to reach out to specific people, according to TechCrunch.
The Android version has been adapted to the platform’s features, including split-screen mode and pop-up windows. This allows users to use Mesh simultaneously with other apps, such as messaging apps or email. The app also supports keyboard shortcuts on foldable devices and tablets, in-app search, home screen widgets, and real-time synchronization across devices.
Mesh partially integrates with Automattic’s Beeper messenger, which unifies communication across different platforms. Mesh users can draft a text message to a contact in Beeper or use a deep link to go to that contact’s profile in Mesh.

Nexus AI—a tool for navigating your contact network via queries—is currently in early access. For example, a user can ask who they know at a specific company or in a specific city, or who has expertise on a particular topic. The company is also experimenting with hands-free voice mode and improved business card scanning.
Mesh has stated that it does not share personal data or use it for ad targeting, as the product is subscription-based. Free access is available for up to 1,000 contacts, while paid tiers offer an unlimited number of contacts and additional features. About 70% of Mesh’s customers use the service for business purposes.
Mesh, formerly known as Clay, will be available on Google Play for smartphones, tablets, and foldable devices. The app can be downloaded for free, but it includes in-app purchases.
