Elon Musk announces Hyperloop between Austin and San Antonio — TechCrunch
Elon Musk said that his tunneling startup, The Boring Company, is working on a “simple predecessor to Hyperloop” between Austin and San Antonio in the United States. According to Musk, such a transportation system is expected to reduce travel time between the cities to less than 30 minutes.
Statement on the new project
As TechCrunch reports, The Boring Company account shared Musk’s statement and said that the company would be pleased and honored to build this large-scale infrastructure project.
Musk wrote about the possible route in response to an AI-generated video depicting a generalized science-fiction future with human colonies on other worlds. He reposted the video and said that this is the future that will be realized.

Previous company initiatives
Some of The Boring Company’s previously announced projects have not been implemented. These include tunnel systems in Chicago and Los Angeles, as well as a route between New York and Washington.
At the same time, the company operates a transportation system combining tunnels and surface routes in Las Vegas. Recently, The Boring Company also raised $3 billion in a funding round led by the United Arab Emirates.
