YouTuber says Meta’s Muse AI gave his address to a stranger — The Verge
Tech blogger Matt Robb said that Meta’s personal AI agent Muse gave his home address to a stranger during a sale via Facebook Marketplace. According to Robb, the agent also agreed to a price he considered too low. The buyer arrived at the specified address before Muse informed the blogger about its actions.
The blogger’s statement
Robb posted a screenshot on Threads in which Muse acknowledges the mistake. He wrote that he learned about the sharing of the address and the agreement on the price only late in the evening, when the buyer had already left. In a subsequent post, the blogger noted that he lives in an apartment with security.

Agent settings
As The Verge reports, Robb gave Muse broad control over responses to messages in his Facebook Marketplace account. In an incident summary generated by the agent, it is stated that the blogger provided it with the address, pickup time windows, acceptable payment methods, and asked it to respond to buyers briefly, casually, and in a human-like manner.
Meta introduced Muse as a personal AI agent earlier this month, emphasizing its security features. The Verge notes that the company is trying to catch up with competitors in the AI market, including Anthropic and OpenAI.
