OpenAI has unveiled an updated image generator with an online search feature
OpenAI has released a new version of its image generator in ChatGPT. This is ChatGPT Images 2.0, which features improved capabilities and support for searching for information online.

ChatGPT Images 2.0 is powered by the new GPT Image 2 model. The image generator can retrieve information from the internet, create visual explanations based on uploaded files, and analyze image structure.
ChatGPT Images 2.0 can generate up to eight images simultaneously with "thinking" enabled, while maintaining consistent characters, objects, and styles across each scene. This should simplify the generation of image series such as comics, social media graphics, or design plans for every room in a house, according to OpenAI.
Additionally, the updates allow ChatGPT Images 2.0 to better capture the distinctive features of photographs, as well as create pixel art, comics, movie stills, and other types of images. The system can generate images with resolutions up to 2K and support more image formats.
Text generation has also been improved not only in English but in other languages as well. Images 2.0 also demonstrates “significant progress” in creating images in Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Hindi, and Bengali.
The new features are available to ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise subscribers.
OpenAI first released ChatGPT Images last year. Its last major update was in December, including faster image generation and better photo editing capabilities.
