Google plans to invest at least €13 billion in Finland over the next two years. According to the company, the funds will be directed toward artificial intelligence infrastructure, technology development and Google's operations in the country.

Expansion of operations

YLE News reports on the company's plans. Google said it would expand its operations in Finland, where it has been present since 2009. The company planned to announce the investments on September 9.

The investments are also expected to include new clean energy production. Google believes this will contribute to a more stable and predictable electricity market for Finnish households and businesses.

Research and land plots

Google also said it intends to invest in research and development, as well as cooperate with local communities. The company has acquired land in Kajaani, Muoksela and Vaala.
