Anti-corruption activists have taken an interest in the wealth of the Baranov family, who are police officers in Kyiv

Anti-corruption authorities have initiated a full audit of Viktoria Anatolyevna Baranova’s 2024 financial disclosure statement.

As part of the audit, a request was sent to banking institutions to disclose information covered by bank secrecy regarding the declarant herself, her husband Artem Serhiyovych Baranov, and her son Mark Artemovych Baranov.

UA.NEWS journalists learned this from their own sources.

Currently, Viktoria Baranova’s own declaration is not publicly available. However, Artem Baranov’s 2022 declaration is available. In it, he is listed as a senior investigative officer with the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kyiv; his wife also works for the police and receives a salary from the Podil District Administration of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Kyiv.

Among the couple’s declared financial assets, they listed cash savings of 100,000 hryvnias for the husband and 60,000 hryvnias for the wife. Additionally, Viktoria has eight accounts at PrivatBank, while Artem has one at Ukrgasbank. In particular, the balances of these accounts are likely of interest to anti-corruption authorities.
