Budanov called on the world to step up its support for Ukraine
Kirill Budanov, head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, called on international partners to increase their support for Ukraine and step up pressure on Russia, emphasizing that this is necessary to protect not only Ukrainians but all of Europe.
According to Budanov, Kyiv is in mourning today due to yet another massive Russian strike, and Russia is attacking both frontline regions and cities in the rear on a daily basis, attempting to intimidate the population and wear down Ukrainian society.
“Support for Ukraine must grow, as must the pressure on the aggressor. This will save lives. By defending us, you are stopping the terror that is already looming at your borders,” the head of Ukrainian intelligence emphasized.
He also stressed that ensuring the safety of the civilian population remains one of the main priorities. According to him, cities must be protected as much as possible, and a system of shelters, prompt assistance to the injured, and the protection of critical infrastructure are vital in wartime.
Budanov assured that no Russian crime will go unanswered.
“Every criminal attack on our cities has specific planners and perpetrators. Terror will not change the course of the war. It will only increase the price the enemy will pay for its choices,” he stated.

Earlier, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted Bill No. 15360—which provides for the construction of the Ukrainian National Pantheon in the capital—in principle and as a whole.
Poland described Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s introduction of the bill to establish the National Pantheon as “actions of an escalatory nature.” Kyiv’s decision sparked a political reaction in Warsaw.
