A total of 4.7 billion hryvnia was transferred via monobank to the accounts of Sternenko and his foundation
Since the start of the full-scale invasion, Ukrainians have donated a total of 4.7 billion hryvnia through Serhiy Sternenko’s personal “banks” and the “Sternenko Community” foundation’s accounts at monobank. These figures were released by monobank co-founder Oleg Gorokhovsky.
In terms of the amount of donations, Sternenko and his foundation have surpassed a number of other well-known volunteer projects. By comparison, Taras Chmut’s “Come Back Alive” foundation raised approximately 1.6 billion hryvnia through monobank, while Serhiy Prytula’s foundation raised 1.4 billion hryvnia. A total of 671.6 million hryvnia passed through the “banks” of Robert Brovdi, commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces, and 309.2 million hryvnia through those of blogger Igor Lachenkov.
At the same time, Sternenko’s activities and those of his foundation have recently come under criticism from certain Telegram channels and the “NON-STOP” movement. In particular, they have questioned the transparency of how donations are used, administrative expenses, the cost of certain purchases, and cryptocurrency transactions.
Some authors have also analyzed the flow of funds through Sternenko’s public crypto wallets. According to their claims, since March 2025, these wallets have received 846,000 USDT, of which 279,400 USDT were allegedly transferred to the “Wild Hornets” foundation, 440,000 to cryptocurrency exchanges, and another 129,000 to addresses that the authors were unable to identify.
Sternenko denies these allegations. His foundation emphasizes that it regularly reports on the procurement and transfer of equipment to the Ukrainian military. Monthly reports are published on the organization’s website, and according to the 2025 financial statements, the foundation’s revenue amounted to 2.39 billion UAH, its assets totaled 120.7 million UAH, and it had a staff of 34 employees.
According to monobank, since the start of the full-scale war, Ukrainians have transferred a total of 143 billion hryvnias through the platform to support the Defense Forces. The largest amount of donations was recorded in 2024—45 billion hryvnias.
