Denmark has increased its contribution to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund by more than €10 million

Denmark transferred an additional 10.66 million euros (80 million Danish kroner) to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund. As a result, the Kingdom’s total contribution to the fund has risen to 78.5 million euros.

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal noted that Denmark remains one of Ukraine’s key partners in strengthening the energy sector. 

“I would like to thank the people of Denmark, the Danish government, and personally the newly appointed Minister of Climate, Energy, and Utilities, Samira Nawa, for the Kingdom’s new contribution to the Fund. This is important support for Ukraine’s energy resilience, particularly as we prepare for the coming winter,” said Denys Shmyhal.

Currently, the Ukraine Energy Support Fund brings together 39 donors from 26 partner countries, as well as three international organizations.

This was reported by the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine on July 10.

As a reminder, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen signed an agreement on the sidelines of the NATO summit in Ankara to deepen cooperation in the fields of defense and security.
