The State Bureau of Investigations is conducting a large-scale special operation called “Stop Trafficking,” aimed at combating the illicit trafficking of drugs, weapons, and ammunition. Law enforcement officials are paying particular attention to crimes within the military and schemes linked to areas where combat operations are taking place.
Over the course of several days, SBI personnel are simultaneously conducting investigative and procedural actions in various regions of Ukraine.
As part of the special operation, law enforcement officials are working on 26 criminal cases.
The cases involve the illegal trafficking of narcotics, psychotropic substances, weapons, and ammunition.
As part of the operation, arrests have already been made and notices of suspicion have been issued. Searches are also being conducted, and potential supply and distribution channels for prohibited substances and items are being identified.
The State Bureau of Investigation emphasizes that the operation’s goal is not limited to exposing individual dealers.
Investigators are mapping out the entire chain of illicit trafficking—from the sources of drugs and weapons to the organizers of the schemes, suppliers, intermediaries, and other individuals who may facilitate their activities.
Operation “Stop Trafficking” aims to identify and disrupt systematic channels for the illegal movement and distribution of drugs, weapons, and ammunition, particularly within military circles.

The National Police of Ukraine carried out the third and final phase of the nationwide anti-drug special operation “Rubicon.” In total, over the course of the three phases, law enforcement officials served notices of suspicion to 367 individuals involved in criminal proceedings and dismantled a significant portion of the drug infrastructure in Ukraine.
Prior to this, prosecutors from the Transcarpathian Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Defense in the Western Region filed an indictment with the court against two members of an organized group, who are accused of smuggling nearly 6 kilograms of cocaine into Ukraine and preparing the drugs for sale.
