A lawmaker from Dnipropetrovsk Oblast failed to disclose assets and bank accounts worth 13.2 million hryvnias in her financial disclosure statement
Law enforcement officials have notified a member of a village council in the Dnipropetrovsk region that she is suspected of making false declarations.
During a comprehensive audit, the National Agency for Corruption Prevention uncovered the concealment of property and funds totaling over 13.2 million hryvnias.
Violations of anti-corruption laws were documented in the official financial reports of the official for 2023. The investigation established that the council member purchased two apartments in a modern residential complex located in the Dniprovskyi district.
She paid 2 million hryvnias for this property but decided not to report the corresponding expenses in her financial disclosure statement.
In addition, the suspect concealed significant sums in bank accounts and financial obligations to third parties. Specifically, the declaration lacked information regarding 6.2 million hryvnias held in the accounts of her private enterprise.
She also failed to report 4.5 million hryvnias that she officially received “as a loan” from relatives to purchase the aforementioned property.
This was officially reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General.
