Garik Korogodsky's daughter was hospitalized due to a harmful habit
Lisa Korogodskaya, the daughter of Ukrainian TV personality and businessman Garik Korogodsky, was hospitalized. The military officer attributes her illness to a long-standing harmful habit.
Lisa Korogodska, 34, admitted that she has smoked for most of her life. She picked up the habit back in her school years, and she believes it has caused her health problems. “I’m 34 years old. And I’ve smoked for most of my life. This isn’t a story about how I tried unsuccessfully to quit. I didn’t even try. I started dabbling with cigarettes back in third grade. Yeah, it sounds like overkill. But it’s true. And by about seventh grade, it had already become a habit—you know, a background thing. Like tea in the morning. Like checking my phone. Like living,” the blogger admitted.

For the businessman’s daughter, cigarettes became a way to unwind after a tough day and a simple habit. However, doctors recently gave Korogodskaya a preliminary diagnosis of asthma.
“Right now, I’ve been preliminarily diagnosed with asthma. Further tests are still ahead, so it’s too early to draw any conclusions. For a very long time, I blamed everything on panic attacks. I pretended it wasn’t happening to me. But at some point, I just let the situation get out of hand. What scares me isn’t even the diagnosis itself, but the fact that we haven’t found a way to stop it yet,” the woman shared.

Lisa Korogodska admitted that she wasn’t ready to quit smoking and hadn’t planned to. However, now it’s one of the conditions for improving her condition.

“And the doctor said straight out: if I don’t quit smoking, things won’t get better. And you know what upsets me the most? It’s not that I have to quit. It’s that I didn’t come to this decision because I wanted to. It’s because there’s no other way. No one asked me if I was ready. Or if I wanted to. Or if I was okay with it. I didn’t wake up one morning thinking, ‘That’s it. I’m starting a new life.’ I was simply presented with a fait accompli: either I change a habit that’s been with me for most of my life, or it continues to rob me of my health,” she wrote.
However, as Korogodska noted, cigarettes aren’t the only cause of her health problems.
