The General Staff confirmed that the TCC is conducting inspections throughout Ukraine

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine responded to the large-scale inspections of territorial recruitment and social support centers being conducted by law enforcement agencies, emphasizing the principle of zero tolerance for corruption.

The General Staff emphasized that the Armed Forces of Ukraine ensure a comprehensive, objective, and impartial investigation of every report of possible misconduct.

“The Armed Forces of Ukraine adhere to a policy of zero tolerance for corruption and ensure a comprehensive, objective, and impartial investigation of every report of a possible offense,” the statement reads.

The military department noted that public trust in the Defense Forces’ recruitment system can only be strengthened through adherence to the rule of law, transparency, and the inevitability of punishment for any manifestations of corruption.

“That is why the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine provides full cooperation to law enforcement agencies in conducting investigations aimed at exposing corruption offenses and abuses, particularly within the Territorial Recruitment Centers and Specialized Units. If evidence of illegal activity is confirmed, those responsible must be held accountable in accordance with current Ukrainian law,” the General Staff emphasized.

At the same time, the Armed Forces of Ukraine urged against generalizing isolated cases of violations, emphasizing that the majority of military personnel at the Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Centers and Special Forces units faithfully perform their duties.

“Isolated cases of violations should not undermine the service of military personnel at the Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Centers, who perform their duties honestly, professionally, and conscientiously, ensuring the mobilization and strengthening of Ukraine’s defense capabilities,” the General Staff noted.

This was reported by the press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

On Thursday, July 30, the State Bureau of Investigations launched large-scale inspections of regional and district-level territorial recruitment and social support centers. Searches and investigative actions are taking place at more than 100 such centers across the country.

The day before, in the Odesa region, law enforcement officers detained the head of the district territorial recruitment and social support center in Dobroslav. At this time, there has been no official statement regarding the specific grounds for the detention. Details of the case are expected to be released after the initial investigative actions are completed.

Acting Minister of Defense of Ukraine Yevhen Khmara gave his first interview since taking office. His interviewer was American blogger and political activist Laura Lumer, who is currently visiting Ukraine.
