The Cabinet of Ministers has appointed a new deputy head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs
On August 31, the Cabinet of Ministers appointed Oleksiy Hryhorovych as Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. Prior to his appointment, he held a leadership position in the central office of the National Police.
Prior to his new appointment, Hryhorovych headed the Department of Information and Analytical Support of the National Police of Ukraine. In his 2025 declaration, submitted to the National Agency for Corruption Prevention (NAZK) in March 2026, he is listed as the head of this department.
The department oversees police information systems, digital services, and analytics. Its staff are also responsible for developing electronic document management systems, protecting information systems, and implementing new digital tools in law enforcement operations.
Among the projects in which the unit has participated is the AntiFraud system for combating fraud. The police developed it in collaboration with the cyber police and the banking sector.
Hryhorovych has also represented the National Police at international events focused on modern technologies in law enforcement, criminal analysis, and cybersecurity.
Hryhorovych holds the rank of police colonel. He assumed the position of deputy minister after serving in a leadership role at the National Police headquarters.
His appointment followed the dismissal of Leonid Tymchenko from the position of Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs on August 26.

Earlier, Zelenskyy appointed a new acting head of the State Border Guard Service.
Prior to that, Zelenskyy conferred the highest diplomatic rank on Stefanchuk.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy also dismissed Andriy Kuzmenko from his post as Ukraine’s ambassador to Qatar. The head of state signed the corresponding decree on August 25, 2026.
