Cabinet dismisses head of the State Medicines Service

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has dismissed Roman Isaienko from the position of Head of the State Service of Ukraine on Medicines and Drugs Control. The reason for the dismissal was a negative performance evaluation based on the results of his official activities in 2025.

This is stated in a government decree dated 7 January 2026.

“Dismiss Roman Mykolaiovych Isaienko from the position of Head of the State Service of Ukraine on Medicines and Drugs Control due to receiving a negative assessment following the evaluation of his official performance in 2025 (paragraph 3 of part one of Article 87 of the Law of Ukraine ‘On Civil Service’),” the decree reads.

At the same time, the government issued an order temporarily assigning the duties of Head of the State Service of Ukraine on Medicines and Drugs Control to Volodymyr Korolenko.

In addition, the government is initiating the development of a new Labour Code to replace the Soviet-era one.

It was also reported that Ukraine and its allies have practically agreed on ceasefire documents, according to Politico.
