The bail amount for Galushchenko's former adviser has been left unchanged
The Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court has reviewed the parties' appeals in a high-profile case involving corruption schemes in the energy sector.
This was reported by the Anti-Corruption Action Center.
The judges decided not to grant the prosecutor’s request and left the bail amount for former Energy Minister Advisor Ihor Myronyuk at 112 million hryvnias.
During the court hearing, the defense requested that the decision regarding the amount of bail be completely overturned.
The lawyers also insisted on the suspect’s release from custody, asking the court to refuse to keep Myronyuk in custody.
For his part, the prosecutor sought to challenge the investigating judge’s previous decision.
The prosecutor asked the court to rule that the reduction of the bail from 126 million to 112 million hryvnias was unfounded and to restore the previous amount as more appropriate given the scale of the alleged crime.
The “Midas” case gained widespread attention in November 2025, when NABU detectives uncovered a vast network of abuses in the energy sector.
In total, seven individuals were charged in this operation; according to the investigation, they organized a complex scheme for personal enrichment.
Among the key figures in the case is well-known businessman and co-founder of the “Kvartal-95” studio Timur Mindich, who is referred to in the case files under the pseudonym “Carlson.”
Charges were also brought against former advisor to the relevant minister Ihor Myronyuk (Rocket) and Energoatom’s executive director for security Dmytro Basov (Tenor).
On the evening of May 11, after receiving a notice of suspicion from the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office, former Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak stated that he would not comment on the matter during the investigation.
