A parliamentary committee summoned Kravchenko to provide explanations regarding the Carthage case
The Verkhovna Rada’s Law Enforcement Committee has invited Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko to a meeting on Tuesday. He is expected to provide explanations regarding the mention of Serhiy Kropiva, deputy head of the Department of International Cooperation, in a NABU criminal investigation into the activities of fraudulent call centers.
“Serhiy Ionushas, chairman of the Law Enforcement Committee, invited me today to a meeting scheduled for tomorrow at 1:30 p.m.,” he said.
Kravchenko noted that he is ready to answer all questions from members of parliament.
The Prosecutor General made this statement during a conversation with journalists on Monday, according to a Ukrinform correspondent.
Prosecutor General Kravchenko refused to resign voluntarily.
Prosecutor General Kravchenko disappeared after the start of the operation by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO). According to UP’s sources in political circles, Kravchenko drove into the government quarter, after which no one saw him.
As a reminder, Prosecutor Kropiva, a suspect in the “Carthage” case, oversaw renovations at the Prosecutor General’s residence in Kozin and issued a visa for his wife.
