Kramatorsk Is Without Water: Where Residents Can Get Water for Household Use
On Wednesday, August 5, Kramatorsk and nearby towns in Donetsk Oblast were temporarily left without a centralized water supply. The reasons for the emergency water outage are currently being investigated.
City residents have been informed about available alternative water sources. In particular, hand-operated water spigots are in operation in Kramatorsk, where residents can collect water for household use.
Authorities are urging residents to stay updated and use their water supplies wisely until a stable water supply is restored.
Why Kramatorsk Is Temporarily Without Water
At around 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 5, Ukrainians were informed (citing information from the municipal utility “Kramatorsk Vodokanal”) that “The company ‘VODA DONBASU’ has suspended water supply:
to the city of Kramatorsk;
to all surrounding settlements.
“Due to emergency power grid switching,” officials explained to residents.
It was noted that further updates on the operational status would be provided later.
“All relevant services are working on the issue; we ask for your understanding,” the city council added.

Russia launched a massive shelling attack on Kramatorsk, resulting in one fatality and several injuries.
In addition, on the morning of July 31, Russian troops attacked the Sloviansk community in Donetsk Oblast. The occupiers used a FAB-250 aerial bomb and an FPV drone, resulting in injuries to a civilian. The full extent of the attack is still being assessed.
Following the attack on Sloviansk, part of the community was left without power.
