A flower business in Odessa evaded over 10 million hryvnias in taxes
An entrepreneur suspected of tax evasion on an exceptionally large scale is set to stand trial in Odesa.
This was reported by the regional prosecutor’s office.
According to the investigation, in 2024, the entrepreneur, who sold flowers through a chain of stores, concealed his actual income and used 13 affiliated sole proprietorships to minimize taxes.
A forensic economic analysis determined that the budget losses amounted to over 10.6 million hryvnias.
Currently, the entire amount has already been reimbursed, and the case has been referred to court.
NABU is initiating a re-audit to enhance the agency’s transparency.
As a reminder, NABU warned of the appearance of a clone of its website.
NABU also explained why corrupt officials are released on bail.
