Lisovyi said whether he would enlist if he were dismissed from his post

Oksen Lisovyi, Ukraine’s Minister of Education and Science, stated that he does not rule out returning to military service should he resign. According to the official, he has not yet submitted his resignation and continues to perform his duties. At the same time, Lisovyi noted that if he leaves the government, he will consider rejoining the military.

According to the minister, returning to the military is one of the possible scenarios for his future activities. “This is service, and I motivate myself by the fact that I am mobilized: I either serve in the military or work here,” Lisovyi said.

At the same time, he emphasized that he has not yet submitted a resignation letter and has not seen a corresponding proposal from Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko. “There is no resignation letter from me, and there is no proposal from the prime minister. There is a resolution submitted by MP Anton Yatsenko. Actually, this is the only initiative I am aware of,” the minister said.

Lisovyi added that the decision will depend on whether the Verkhovna Rada supports the relevant resolution.

As is known, after the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion in 2022, Oksen Lisovyi volunteered to join the ranks of the 95th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade. In March 2023, he was appointed Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine.

He mentioned this during a conversation with journalists.

“There were no discussions with me regarding my dismissal,” Lisovyi said.

Lisovyi declared nearly 1.9 million hryvnias in income

Following a decision by the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, a full audit of all Ukrainian mineral resources and their users has begun. This is a priority issue for the Ukrainian government.

During a session, Uzhhorod City Council member Valentin Shtefanyo handed Mayor Bohdan Andriyiv a plastic shovel in protest against a 12.7-hectare land project related to subsoil use. The council member expressed doubt about the feasibility of amber mining on this site and joked about the possibility of finding “gold.”
